Today is a sad day in our house. Our sweet Golden Retriever Syd has passed away. She escaped out of our front door on Saturday, and ran away. We put an ad online asking if anyone had seen her, and created flyers. Over the weekend we got a couple of emails from people who had seen the ad, and were letting us know that they saw Syd get hit by a car, near our house, and that the person who hit her took her to the pound. It was a holiday weekend, so we couldn't get ahold of the pound until today. But after lots of phone calls and information passed back and forth, they confirmed that it was Sydney that was brought in, and that the injuries she sustained when she was hit, were severe and they had to put her to sleep late Saturday evening.
We are so very sad, we loved her So, So much and our house will be so empty without her. She was a sweet girl, a good girl and the girls best friend...it's just a sad, sad day.
